First time as far as I know. But then, until a few months ago we didn't have people randomly teleporting into the city, either.

I mean, I can't blame him. I'd have wanted Mr. Purple, too. But the guy needs to learn to shut the fuck up.

So weird got weirder for Rapture. [He shakes his head.] For a second I thought maybe Joe actually showed up here. I figured he'd like a place like this.

[The Cabots were good people. Joe, Eddie. Yeah, he missed them.

He laughs at the comment.]

Holy shit. If it wasn't for Joe, Ruby, Mr. Pink should have had you around to smack him in place.

It happens occasionally. I know a couple of people who've had folks from back home show up here, I think it's really helped them cope with being stuck here. But you really think he'd like this place?

[She laughs, too.]

Well, if he shows up here, I'll be sure to put him in his proper place.

He would. He's one of those old-timer types.

[And in just as much of a shady business as Blonde was. Joe was his boss. He'd really love it down here. Blonde figured it wouldn't have been hard for Ruby to figure out he was a shady guy. Not from their conversation in the bar and Joe's words over the radio. If she could put two and two together, there wasn't any point in him bullshitting and sweating over it. Some things stayed secret, some got a half-assed explanation if he didn't care enough.]

And if I want anyone to show up, Mr. Pink's near the bottom of the list.

So people from the same place'll actually show up here?

[It wasn't too hard for her to figure that out, and there was a time when it would have troubled her greatly, with how rigidly she revered the rules of this city. Nowadays she's still not all that approving of things like theft - she believes in the doctrine of Rapture, that people are entitled to the products of their own hard work without having to worry about anything like that - but she's also not the type to ask too many questions, or judge a person based on what they've done in the past. More importantly, she's not about to let that stand between the fact that she enjoys his company.]

Yeah, it happens from time to time. I have a friend, Sam, whose entire family's shown up here at one time or another. And, uh, there's been a couple of instances of different versions of the same person showing up.

What, like a clone?

A what? [Yeah, 1950s girl has no idea what that even is.] I don't know, it's just something that happens.

Clones. They're like copies of people. It's not real where I come from but they show up in stories a lot.

It could be something like that - I wouldn't put it past the scientists here - or they probably got zapped in from a different point in time or something like that.

I wouldn't either if they didn't give up on the teleportation shit.
